Fanwork Details:
Hi! I'm offering to create some cover art. It's usually a
square image featuring some graphics (usually, from canon or licenced
for non commercial use pictures) and text information about the
contents. It can be pretty simple (mostly focused on picking a fitting
font and making the colors work together) or more labor intensive
(vector illustrations, complicated typography, cutting and assembling
several pictures, etc). You are guaranteed at least the simpler
version. You can check out my tumblr for some examples of cover art I
did for my own podfics.
If you'd like some other type of graphics that my skillset covers, please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss it! This can be book covers, banners and icons for a challenge, putting together a mini zine, ...
Characters/pairings of interest:
I'm open to anything! Please keep in mind that I don't
usually draw, or at least not characters, so I'm going to be limited
by the pictures available, but you can absolutely throw a text-only
fandom at me and I'll figure something out. I might ask you if you
have facecasts for characters, or favorite pictures of them, or any
details that I should know for matching the story, like for example if
I can use pictures of an actor but only with long hair.
Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
In general, I like it when there are strong visual elements
I can latch on to. This can be objects, settings, or graphic chart
elements. I also like playing around with mockups: fake posters,
product ads, train tickets, ... anything like that can usually be done
with vector graphics and fonts, without actually drawing anything by
hand, and look very good.
Unwilling to address:
I don't think so? I'm not planning on reading the text in
details/listening to the whole podfic.
Other notes:
I'm open to directions and feedback! Let me know what works
best for you, but I could for example send you a few questions at the
start to determine what you want, then come back to you with a first
version, and we could iterate from there.
On the opposite end of the collaborative scale, you could also just
send me the link to the text and let me figure it out.
Auctions run from 8:00AM EST, 25 February 2025, to 8:00PM EST, 1 March 2025. Bids before or after this period are invalid and will not be counted. If you would like to bid on this auction:
Step 1: Check the bidding spreadsheet to find out what the current high bid is. (Note: It may take up to five minutes for a bid to appear.)
Step 2: Fill out the creator's bidding form with a bid that is higher than the current high bid. If you want to make it harder for someone to outbid you, bid higher! We will NOT notify you if someone outbids you. FTH will only notify you if you are the high bidder after the auctions end.
