Characters/pairings of interest:
Below are some character preferences, but I’m happy to discuss character requests that are not on this list, if you think I could tackle them!

I am especially interested in the female protagonists of FAM, and their personal relationships - romantic or platonic or anywhere in between - with both male and female characters in the show (friends, family, partners/spouses, other important people in their lives). As you can see from my Ao3 page, I have written several stories in this vein about Aleida, and one about Karen. I’d love to write about Aleida (always love writing about her!) or Karen again, or: Margo, Kelly, Danielle, Ellen, (open to your ideas!)

Having said this, I also have a soft spot for several male characters, especially those who don’t seem to wear their masculinity in a stereotypically toxic way and/or don’t subscribe to traditional gender roles (e.g: Sergei, Victor, Octavio, Bill Strausser, Will Tyler, Wayne Cobb, Nick Corrado, Danielle’s second husband Corey and stepson Isaiah). I’d be happy to focus on any of them as well!

Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
I am very open about what to write! However, some of my special interests include telling personal and introspective stories; filling in and deepening backstory of character relationships that we don’t get to see enough of (or at all) on-screen; exploring why and how characters grow and change over the series; drawing out parallels and connections between seemingly distinct characters; and exploring family dynamics (marriage, in-laws, kids/parenthood, etc).

I usually write canon-compliant or mostly canon-compliant fic that fills in gaps between seasons, episodes, and/or scenes. However, I’d be open to attempting a canon-divergent AU!

Unwilling to address:
I am generally very open about what and whom to write about, with a few caveats:

I’m not terribly interested in writing about the new Season 4 characters unless they have a connection to Aleida, Margo, or Kelly. For example, while I’d be thrilled to write about Graciana or Olga or Alex, I have limited interest in writing about Miles and his family, or Sam Massey. I also don’t feel I have the skill to write a story that focuses heavily on Irina (although she is an amazing character!).

I lack the skillset to write fic that focuses heavily on the science or history of space exploration (I’m just here for the blorbos!), or on Russian history and culture.

Finally, while I am open to (and actually, pretty interested in) queer interpretations of Aleida, I am quite fond of Victor and as such, would be reluctant to write a story that doesn’t also respect and integrate her relationship with him.

Other notes:
I would welcome (and really love!) back-and-forth engagement about your request and character/ship/story interests! Chatting and spitballing on Discord with fellow FAM fans is one of my very favorite things. However, if you’d prefer to sit back and be surprised, I am completely fine with that too.
