Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
I’m offering to create an Annotated Bibliography focusing on a specific area of pre 20th century Chinese history. This will consist of an overview and 5-20 entries with comments posted as stand alone work on either ao3 or my personal blog. This can be used as background information for fanworks or just for fun!

The exact topic will need to be worked out between me and the winning bidder so that we can find something that’s the right scope. It’s possible that after starting research I will need to get back to you to either increase or decrease the scope of the question

I’m not Chinese, and have no formal training in Chinese history but I do read a lot of academic history about China for fun. I love going down research rabbit holes and have done extensive research for my own fic and translations.

I am especially interested in material culture (basically any type of stuff that is useful or meaningful to people), gender and sexuality, Daoism and the Tang Dynasty

Unwilling to address:
I am not able to include works in languages other than English. I won’t research torture, genocide, war or closely related subjects

Other notes:
I'm hoping my bidder will have some topics or research questions in mind and that we will discuss them and work out the scope of the project -- with the possibility of circling back and adjusting if need be
